Our God is Able

I want to have faith like this....

16 Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego replied to him, “King Nebuchadnezzar, we do not need to defend ourselves before you in this matter. 17 If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to deliver us from it, and he will deliver us[c] from Your Majesty’s hand. 18 But even if he does not, we want you to know, Your Majesty, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up.”  Daniel 3:16-18

Wow!  Our God is able to intervene in our lives.  He is able to do what we ask.  But what happens when He doesn't?  What happens when our prayers go unanswered?  I want to have faith that says, "But even if He doesn't..." I will still worship Him; He is still good; He is still for me; He will never leave me or forsake me.

Oh help me to have this same kind of faith that these men had...

Cast off!

The day has finally come!  Tag got his short cast off this morning.  Yee-haw!  That is some serious joy on his little face.  He was a real trooper this last month.  So proud of him.  (And glad he broke it now and not in the summer when he'd rather be swimming!)

Now for his rehab...anyone know a good physical therapist?  :)

16 years

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY, LUKE!  Can you believe we've been married for 16 years, have 4 awesome kids, one sweet chocolate lab, some better days, some worse days....but we are still so in love?!  That's the Lord, for you.  His never-ending mercy and grace.  I am so thankful for you, babe.  You are my rock, you make me laugh, you remind me that life is short and I should be silly.  You are a great dad to our kids, so much fun to be around.  I love to watch your relationship with Christ deepen each year.  I can tell you are more in love with our Savior now than ever before.  And you are so talented at so many things!  I love to watch you excel at all the gifts God has given you.  Thanks for loving me so well for so long, especially in spite of my major shortcomings.  I can do anything as long as you are by my side.  I am so thankful that God chose you for me, and me for you.  We are in this together.  On the same team.  Forever Gator.  Yep, forever.

Spring Break fun

It's Spring Break and we are ALL so happy around here to just have some down time.  NO SCHOOL- hip hip hoorah!  Instead, we've been having some fun filming...

Luke filmed his first big commercial last week for....Academy Sports and Outdoors!  Can you believe it?  His favorite store.  AND he was chosen to the "golfer dad"....how perfect is that?  It will air as a Father's Day commercial.  So as soon as we get the link for that, I'll post it!

We  have spent most of the weekend and week so far filming the SMU student film, Sons of Man.  This has been a total blast!  And it has stretched me as a person beyond my wildest dreams.  The character I play, Allison, is very deep and heart-wrenching.  There is a scene where I have to cry my eyes out....and that has been both fun and challenging to try and do on the spot.  I have loved every minute of it.  And it has been awesome to watch Beth and Tag grow as actors during this process too.  They are doing such a good job!  And of all people to get to "flirt" with and be my love interest...my very own husband.  Too cool.  We are having a blast!  Here are some pics of one of Beth's scenes...

And lastly, Faith Anna and I shot a print job today for Dillard's.  Our first time to ever be direct-booked, and we got to do it together!  It was a furniture ad, so we got to lay around on a couch and "act like" mother and daughter.  We had a blast getting our hair and make-up done....and visiting with all the people on the set.  One person at a time.  One soul at a time.  We're gonna let our little lights shine!

So pretty...but prettiest part is her heart.

Rockin' the high bun... :)

We've also had some fun cousin-time this week!  Jen's boys, Austin and Noah, spent the night with us one night.  They are growing up so fast!  Such sweet boys.  Our kids had a blast playing with them.

Pajama time with the honey-bee tree

And we've had some fun family time....
Dinner out at Waters Crossing in Allen.  We love this little park down behind Grimaldi's Pizza!  Met Brandon, Natalie, Caroline, and Peter down there for dinner one night.  Fun catching up with them...

And the fun just keeps on coming....because tomorrow's our anniversary!  16 years.  Can't believe it!  My honey has a hot date planned for us.  More on that, lata!

Beth's Egyptian Festival

Beth's 1st grade Egyptian Festival was this morning!  She glimmered on stage as Cleopatra.  All the kids did such a good job singing and presenting their projects.  Beth did a presentation on Sacred Felines.  I know....but Beth is such a cat-lover.  So I set aside my negative disposition for the animals (sorry Boo!), and helped her do some research.  (Yes, it was still very hard for me.)  She did a lovely job, and spoke with such ease and confidence!  I can really tell that all of our training through AMTC has significantly increased each child's ability to memorize and perform at an exceptional level.  So thankful and blessed for that.  Proud of you, Bethie!
