Tag is two years old today. I can hardly believe it. My heart is overwhelmed by the joy and love this little man has brought into our lives these past couple of years. And to think what life would be like without him....well, it just hurts. I am so thankful that after so much prayer about having a 4th child, after a miscarriage, after a peace about not having anymore....that God still chose to bless us with this precious son.
And then, to make it even more interesting....he made a surprise entry into the world 3 weeks early, and decided he needed to stay in the NICU for 11 days to scare his mama half to death cause his lungs weren't completely developed yet! I will never forget the sight of that 8 lb 14 oz boy next to all of those teeny, tiny preemies....and worn out parents standing over their cribs who had been coming to visit their little ones for months. Man, so much to be thankful for.
So after all of that....I just wonder what God has in store for Tag...what great things He is going to do with this life He created and planned before the beginning of time. Well, I sure hope I get to be around to see it! But for now, I am treasuring each day that we get to laugh our heads off at this boy of ours, all the running-arms-outstretched-squeezes and pats on the back, all the cute little phrases like "hold you, mommy", "jis kidding!", and "um, how about chocolate pudding?" He is just too cute for words and I love him so much. Thank you God for Tag Wyatt...
2 years ago today....

Got to hold him for just a bit before they whisked him off to the NICU.

The first time I got to hold him in the NICU...that was a great day!

Coming home 11 days later...

First week home was Halloween....cute pumpkin then....

....and cute pumpkin now! Celebrating at his "Firetruck birthday"...

Logan and I came up with the idea for this "mosaic" firetruck cake. Pretty artsy, right?

And a real firetruck came to visit at the party.

and Caroline, Natalie, and Bran...

and Aunt Jes...

and Peter...

and Alex...

and ice cream!!!

What a cute crew...I'm not partial or anything.

I could seriously eat him up.... thank you God for this gift. We love him so much!
