Happy Birthday, Tag!

After needing a "jump start"in the NICU when he was born, Tag has now grown into a 25 pound, fun, curious, cute one-year old.  Faith Anna  calls him "Sweet T"...and all three big kids just adore him.  I hope he will always know how very loved he was and is by his big brother and sisters.  There are definitely benefits to being the youngest! :)

We threw a pumpkin-carving party to celebrate Tag's first and Logan's eighth birthdays.  The evening went down something like this...

The kids wore their costumes to the party.  Tag was Baby Yoda.

We had the Star Wars theme going with Logan as Jango-Fett, Faith Anna as Padme, Tag as Baby Yoda, and Beth.... well Beth decided to be Mariposa the Butterfly Fairy.  That girl marches to her own beat!  And I love that about her...

Intimidating, huh?

And beautiful.

Tag and Claire the Butterfly.

Peter came as Batman...

The cousins.  We miss you Austin!

Butterfly and Dude.

Mommy's attempt at a pumpkin cake....and the boys each had their own little cake.  Logan decorated his....

Tag loves Hayley!

This is Beth's all-time favorite activity....

Papa B working tirelessly on his Biker Pumpkin creation.

Look at Faith Anna's face.  She wasn't so sure about the pulp.

Logan and Chris created an awesome ATM pumpkin for the Ags.  Somehow, we didn't get a photo of it.  Oh well....it will ever live in our minds.  After all, it won first place.  (Logan was the judge.)

Biker dude, Kitty, Flowers, and Batman.  And Go Ags...not pictured.

Happy 8th Birthday, Logan!

Happy 1st Birthday, Tag!

Wow, this feels kinda sticky and cool...

Are you sure I'm allowed to do this?

Oh yeah!  It's kinda icky, but fun...

Tastes pretty good too...

Yeah, I like this birthday stuff.  Thanks everyone for coming and celebrating with me!  Love, Tag

Capture the Flag

Logan turned eight years old today.  I can't believe that he is so big now!  He had a "friend" birthday party last weekend and we played Capture the Flag down at the park.  It was a lot of fun.  Luke and I made over 100 flour bombs for the kids to use as ammo (some kind of crazy childhood memory of Luke's.  You take a kleenex and fill it with a scoop of flour....tie it with string....and zing it at your opponent.  Makes a nice white mark on the t-shirt so the other team knows you've been hit.  Actually very fun...)  Anyway... here are a few pics from the occasion.

Logan had a certain affinity for this friend, Daniella.  Notice they are together in quite a few of the pics....  Hmmm.

Claire, Jes and Matthew came for the fun too.

Faith Anna sneaking up on Luke....

...then all the kids decided to bomb him!

Jes is so good with that sling!  Skills...

There's Daniella again...

She knows how to eat a cupcake.

Peter and Logan....cousins....best buds.

State Fair

We went a few weeks ago to the State Fair.  This has become a tradition in our family...one the kids seem to ask about year round.  "Is it time for the State Fair yet?!"  Last year, Faith Anna called it the "Steak Fair" which was hilarious....but this year she was all grown-up and brave...even did the "big yellow slide" no problem.  And it was Tag's first time at the Fair!  Well, I guess he actually went last year...just in-utero.  :)  Yes, this year was much easier on mama...a few pounds lighter makes a big difference!  Well, enjoy the pics.  Hope you can smell and taste the fried food from where you are!

Big Tex!

T-man was such a trooper in the stroller.  Just ate his snacks and watched all the interesting sights...  Man were there a lot of interesting sights!  :)

My girls at the top of the Texas Star!  Windy up there...

The boys on the ferris wheel...  Can you see the fear in Luke's face?  He hates the Texas Star... ha!

The girls loved the Carousel.

Logan on some Superman kinda ride...

Peace out!

Girls on the Teacups...

The Logride...

Fun times at the Fair.... until next year!
