8-month old Tank!

Our "little" guy is actually quite a big ol' 8-month old. He has got to be at least 20 pounds...of solid muscle! :) He is such a joy. He is becoming quite a loud and verbose little man. He loves to hear his own voice...and plays around with all kinds of sounds, inflections, spitting, and laughter. He is sitting up so well now....he can even sit in the grocery buggy seat all by himself! :) He still loves to play in the supersaucer, but prefers to just be sitting on the floor where he can lunge forward for toys. No crawling yet, but he is really acting interested. He has his two top teeth now....which he has been "telling" us about for the past few weeks. :( I think they are really hurting him pretty good. But other than that, he continues to be a sweet addition to our family. Just goes and blows along with the rest of us! So flexible....and brings us so much joy along the way. Thank you God for Tag Wyatt...

Those chunky legs will hardly still fit in the bumbo seat...

Can you see those bottom teeth? Man are they sharp!

His favorite place to be....sitting with a montage of toys surrounding him. This is at my friend Karla's house in Colorado.

At Landon and Whitney's rehearsal dinner.... surrounded by three of his all-time favorite people!

He can take a bath without a bath ring now! So big...

Loves to splash!

And speaking of splashing, swimming is his new favorite pastime. Maybe it's that he gets to splash as much as he wants.... or maybe because he is constantly entertained by these four monkeys!

Happy Summer!

A Mountain Wedding

The girls were the best flower girls I've ever seen....and Logan was the most handsome ring bearer I've ever encountered! What a privilege to get to be such a special part of Landon and Whitney's wedding. It was quite magical....set outside at this beautiful white-columned school....reception right behind the ceremony....tent lit with candlelight as the the sun was setting down into the mountains....dancing out under the moonlight with great friends and family. Couldn't have asked for any more!

Before the ceremony....

Handsome men...

The girls were enamoured with Miss Whitney. What a gorgeous bride...both inside and out.

I can't wait to do all kinds of things with my two sweet girls. God has blessed me so much with daughters....and them with sisters!

Coming down the aisle...can you see Beth's eyes gazing over at Faith Anna? She's copying her every move...

The beautiful wedding party. The space left between Landon and his first groomsmen Zach, is for his best man and brother who passed away a year and a half ago, Tyler. We definately missed him at the wedding...but you could feel his presence and his laughter in almost everything.

Great job! It's almost over.... :)

Faith looking over at us on her way out. The kids should all three be so proud of themselves...

Princess Beth

Landon and Logan

Landon is like a little brother to Luke...

I have to admit, I think I saw tears ever-so-gently rolling down the girls' cheeks as they realized that Landon is really married and officially off the market. hee-hee... They love him so much!

What a sweet family God has given us. And Mr. Tag just snoozing away during the ceremony...

Shelley, Logan and Gini...

Sisters.... So fun to have Jes, Matthew and Claire there too!

The happy couple getting some food before the festivities begin....

Check out that gorgeous cake.

Tag awake and ready to party at the reception! It was his 8-month birthday, after all!

Dancing with mama under the stars. Man, I love this little guy!

Old Friends

We went to visit my good friend Kris and her daughter Skylar after we left Buena Vista. We took a fun hike through the Garden of the Gods. Skylar and Faith Anna are the same age....so they became fast friends!

Of course we needed our hiking sticks again.... (they even tried to smuggle those on the airplane to bring back home with us!!)

Beth and Tag were a little too tired to hike.... Thank goodness for the double jogger. I have put some serious miles on that thing over the last few years!

Faith and Skylar

Climbing through the "rock house".

Kris and Skylar

The girls had a slumber party...

Logan got to sleep in one of Joel's sleeping bags...and play with all his vintage Star Wars figures. He was loving it!!!

Tag got some loving from Kris...

Then we travelled to another good friends house, Chris and Karla Carroll. We met Karla at Trail West years ago....and have enjoyed an awesome friendship with her family over the last years. This was the first time our kids got to meet each other...

The men enjoyed a little U.S. Open on Sunday.....

Beth and Ella...

Logan, Cole, Cade.... and Aspen on the porch. We ended our time in Colorado with this precious family. God truly united our hearts years ago...and He has allowed us to grow together and continue to be inspired and challenged by one another still today.

Go West Young Man

We just got back from a week in Colorado! We had the best time. We flew into Colorado Springs, drove a couple of hours to Buena Vista to stay with some old friends for a few days, then back to the Springs for the Sheets wedding! It was a fun-filled week of hiking, exploring, relaxing, catching up with old friends, spending time with our family, and drinking in God's majesty. Here are few pics from the first part of our trip...

This is the view from the road where our cabin was on Trail West Drive. This is Mount Princeton...one of the "14er's" in the collegiate peaks. Luke and I actually hiked to the top of this mountain back when we were dating....and we signed our names in the time capsule at the top! Brought back lots of great memories!

Outside of our cabin was national forest as far as you could see....or hike! Here are our little explorers with their new-found hiking sticks....

Just spotted a deer....

Luke showing off his "hiking stick"....

What a gorgeous view on our hike up through Cottonwood pass...

Tag got to ride in style...

Beth tired out pretty quickly, so she got to ride on Daddy's shoulders....

...and Tag got to ride with mama. Man was he heavy!!!

Tag asleep in the pack....

Our friends the Lewis'- Tacy, Julianna, Steadman, and Eva. We met this sweet couple years ago when we worked for YoungLife's Trail West family camp.

Back with Daddy....and sacked out!

Beth goofing off at Trail West Lodge....

We found our aspen tree that we carved our initials in 14 years ago! You can barely still make out the "S" in "SJ". This is where Luke and I fell in love....and where both of our relationships with Christ were really strengthened.

We had so much fun in Buena Vista!! What a special time to get to bring our four kids back to a place that has so much meaning for us both...
