Boo's 60th Birthday

Luke's mom turned the big 6-0 at the end of May! We whisked her and Chris away on a surprise getaway to the hill country. But the biggest surprise was that Jordan flew in from California and was hiding in the back of our suburban when we picked her up! She just loved it...and we totally loved spoiling her for the weekend. Here are some pics of the big event...

We gave Boo a tiara and feather boa to wear during dinner....

Looking at all the homemade artwork from the kids....

"My Cup Runneth Over" pillow..... I knew this is exactly how Boo feels about her life.

Jordan and his mama....

We made an "eye-catching" visor for her to wear during our round of birthday golf....everyone needed to know that she was the birthday girl!

We all enjoyed the trip so much! Happy happy birthday Boo. You are such a wonderful person in our lives!

Faith Anna's Recital

Faith Anna just performed in her spring ballet recital. It was a very cute number called April Showers. During the performance, she got to put on a black cape and be the "storm"...she thought that was pretty cool. Here a few pics of our little ballerina before the show.

Of course Beth had to wear a ballet costume too...even though she wasn't performing. So we found one of Faith Anna's costumes from last year and got her all dressed up too. She was perfectly happy and felt like a real ballerina herself. She cracks me up...

Posing with Gran and Grandad before she had to go backstage and get ready....

Liz and Leonard cheering her on...

Bran and Nat's crew got to come for the performance...

Caroline and Beth listening to a few tunes before the show.

Our friend Hayley came to watch the show and help with her favorite baby boy. (Hayley is the first person to ever get the little man to take a passy! You go girl...)

So proud with flowers and trophy in hand...

Chris and Boo with the prima ballerina. (Little did Boo know we were about to kidnap her the next morning and take her on a surprise trip for her 60th birthday! More to come next blog...)

Sydney and Gwimmie

Proud parents...

This sweet picture cracks me up because we asked Beth to be in it too...but she didn't want to. Instead, she wanted....

....to take one all by herself. With Faith's flowers. Forget about sister, she wanted some limelight of her own. :)

But the biggest surprise was waiting on our front porch swing when we got home. Crazy Uncle Jordan flew in from California and was hiding out incognito in the balcony during the recital so Boo wouldn't see him. hee-hee. Faith was so excited that he got to see her dance.

Thanks everyone who came and watched her! She was so happy to have you all there...

Field Day

Logan's Field Day was this past Friday. We had a lot of fun hanging out with him! Boo had Beth and Tag.... so Faith Anna and I could spend some good time with him.

This was Logan's favorite event....Monster Golf. Luke would be so proud.... :)

This is his whole class...they were doing a relay against the other 1st grade class.

Notice how Logan is surrounded on all sides by girls... hmmm.

Speaking of girls.... this little cutie on Logan's right is one of his "best friends" as he calls it. But notice the look of embarrassment on his face? He really wanted Daniella to sit with us and eat lunch... but didn't really want mom to take a picture. :)

Finished up a hot day with a cold popscicle. That's a little bit of heaven...

Tag's First Conversation...

Tag is 7 months old and has turned into our little motorboat. He loves to spit and hear his own voice. He is so funny! The other day he and Luke took turns spitting back and forth at each other... and Luke looked over at me and exclaimed, "We just had our first real conversation!" It was hilarious. I have a video clip of the whole thing...but I've been trying to post it for a couple of days now and it's just not working! Any blogger techies out there that could lend me a hand? I'll keep trying, so check back...

The motorboat mouth...

Tag loves to sit and play in his supersaucer. He can turn round and round in it...and can chew on every available toy or surface that he can reach. :) See those two big bottom pearly whites grinning at you?

All the kids getting in on the motorboat action... watch out, you may get pretty wet if you stand too close. :)

Tag has been sitting up for a few weeks now! He loves to sit in the middle of the floor and play. But occasionally, especially if Beth is nearby and loving on him (!), he will still topple over...

...so the boppy coushion is still a good idea at this point to prevent a bonked head. :)

Graduated to the big bath seat! He loves to sit up and splash in his bath.

Love the footie pajamas...

Ready for bed.

Love my big 7 month old boy!

Tag's Dedication

We had Tag Wyatt dedicated at our church this past Sunday on Mother's Day! It was a special baby blessing and a time to pray over this sweet child that God has given us. Our whole family got to come up front and have our pastor, our families, and our church family pray for Tag and for us as we raise him up to know God. It was a wonderful day!

Some pics of my nephew Austin out in our garden. We are going to miss this little guy!

After church, we had a great lunch together at our house and just all hung out in our backyard around the pool and goofed off. The weather was awesome...it was a perfect Mother's Day!

Having fun on the swing..

Thank you Lord for the blessing of Tag. He is such a perfect gift from You!
