Family Pics

My good friend, Sandra Edwards, took some family pics for us in early December. They turned out so good! Thought you might like to see a few of my favorites. :) And check out Sandra's photography at http://www.sandraedwards.net/
HAPPY NEW YEAR'S EVE!

Let the Gingerbread House Decorating Begin!

We had our annual Gingerbread House party yesterday with Caroline and Peter. The theme this year was "Cafes", so the kids all got their creative juices flowing and came up with some pretty intricate Cafe designs. (This was definitely a step up from our "Tackiest" theme last year!)
Let the sugar high begin!

This was the first year that the girls each got their own house to decorate. They were pretty excited!

The boys wanted to share a house again this year. It's all about teamwork.

Caroline designed a fancy Paris Cafe that she named "The Caroline Cafe". Can you see the sign out front that says "We are open"? Very cute!

Intricate mosaic roof work.

Her initials on the other side.

Logan and Peter made a Tent this year, but then decided to change the name to the Tent Cafe when they heard the category. Ha! Boys.

See the campfire there on the corner?

Faith Anna created the Candy Shop Cafe. It was very cute....very detailed!

Silly girl.

Back door and windows.

Beth created the Rainforest Cafe. Notice her knack for symmetry...all gumdrops on one side of the roof, all hershey hugs on the other side. Nice spacing and rows. And please note the heart made out of candy canes above the front door.

The finished products. (Caroline had already taken hers home.) And Tag napped peacefully through the whole ordeal! Yah! What will they come up with for 2010?

Last one!

On the 26th, we headed to Luke's mom and stepdad's house for our 4th Christmas Celebration! Have I mentioned how blessed we are? And our kids....we have to work hard at them being grateful and not spoiled rotten. :) But we always love going to Boo and Chris'....it was such a relaxing day. And Nanny was there with us this year! So we loved spending time with her. They also got a lot more snow up there, so we played outside alot and had some serious snowball fights. It was a wonderful day to spend with family and celebrate Jesus' birth.

Big hugs for Nan.

Who knew the bubble wrap would be a bigger hit than the gifts??

Let the snowball fights commence!

Fun day! Thank you Boo and Chris...
