Showers and Carousels

My mom and sisters threw a fun "Baby Boy Shower" for me this past weekend! It was so nice to be with my friends and family....and I felt so honored. We sure missed you being there Natalie...but I hope you and your family are feeling better. :)

Baby boy at 33 weeks along. Looks like he's about ready to pop out, huh?

My mom and I. Thank you for loving me so much and being so excited about this new little one!

Jessica....due mid-December with a baby girl, mom and Jen. My sweet hostesses. (And Nat there in spirit....)

The two preggos....

Some of my sweet friends....

Lots of cute boy things....

My mom made the baby lots of burp cloths and blankets....very special.

Thank you all so much for coming and truly showering my family and I with your love and support of this new little one. It means the world to us to have all of you "in our balcony" cheering us on. We thank God for each and every one of you.

On to Carousels....
I am having so much fun spending several days a week with just my girls. Here they are on a carousel having a total blast. Please note the tiaras....

Beth is so into horses and ponies and unicorns. Whether it's a real one, a carousel one, a toy one, or even the wooden rocking horse at the local hardware store.....
She is such a little love! Hope you all are having a great September. Much love from our family to yours...

Fun with Logan

Logan played on his first Tee-Ball team this summer. He had a lot of fun playing the three games that weren't rained out this season! Ha. Wow, did we ever get a ton of rain in June! He says the best part was that he got to pick his favorite number "7" for his jersey. :) Look at that cute face...

Logan started first grade this Fall! Time sure does fly... Here he is with his teacher, Mrs. Leonard at "Meet the Teacher" the weekend before school started.

First day of school!

He was excited and ready! When I picked him up that afternoon he said it was his "best day ever!" Thank you God.

We took Logan to Ft. Worth on Labor Day to see the Star Wars exhibit. WOW did he love it! We had been talking about going for a long time....so there was a lot of anticipation built up. And the exhibit really rose to the occasion and met a little boys dreams. Oh, and Luke really loved it too!

He picked out the character Obi-Wan for this picture! He loved having this made. Logan is so much fun at 6 and 3/4. He is just a lot of fun to spend time with. We are so thankful to have him in our lives...
Oh....and may the force be with you.

August Birthdays!

We celebrated Beth turning three in mid-August by taking the kids to a restaurant called "The Magic Time Machine". Beth was elated that Cinderella was our waitress! We had a fun time together...

Faith Anna took a little more "warming up" to Cinderella. :)

Logan was thrilled to meet Captain Jack Sparrow...

...and Superman!

We had a fun family birthday party at our house later in the month. Faith Anna turned five at the end of August, and we celebrated both girls big days with a cookout, cake and swim party. Just look at those cute faces! They had so much fun. We are so blessed to have these two precious daughters!

The girls helped me make the cake....and of course picked out ballarinas to go on top. Pink for Beth and blue for Faith Anna....
And we couldn't forget lots of sprinkles!

My three beautiful sisters....all showed up in stripes! Did yall plan that? hee-hee....

Beth is pretty excited about Snow White!

Our cutie birthday girls with the whole family! They are ready to dig into this cake...

Make a wish!

The girls had a few of their neighborhood friends over to celebrate by getting all dressed up at the "Burton Beauty Shop". We painted nails, did some make-up and fixed up everyone's hair. It was ALL Faith Anna's idea...and we had a great time! My sweet niece Caroline came over to help and was my number one beauty assistant. :) Little girls are so much fun....

Catherine, Cammy, Zoe, Ellie, Faith Anna, Emily and Beth. After they got all gorgeous together, we talked about how their most beautiful part was their heart. After all, real beauty comes from within. 1 Peter 3:3-4
