Finn Brandon Green

My sister Jessica had a precious baby boy on May 3rd.... Finn Brandon Green. After a complicated C-section, and a longer stay in the hospital than they had expected, everyone is home now, resting, healthy, and thankful! We appreciate all of your prayers, calls, and emails concerning my sister. God is good!

Cute burrito boy!

Claire is already a good big sister...

Grandad lovin on Finn

Logan loved holding his new cousin

Joe and Auntie came to visit

Tag loves babies. I think he would have been a great big brother. Oh well, he'll just have to settle for being a big cousin. :)

Faith Anna meeting Finn

And Beth was last but not least. Can't you see the joy all over her face? She loved it!

He's a cutie-pie, alright. We can't wait to share life with our new nephew!

Sermon on the Mound

Beth performed in her Preschool choir musical at the end of April called "All God's Creatures". She dressed up as a cow and was so cute! Logan and Faith Anna performed in their Elementary choir musical that same evening called "The Sermon on the Mound". It was a baseball-themed musical, and Logan had one of the lead acting parts as a baseball player on the home team....and Faith Anna sang a solo. It was a fun event and we were so proud of them! I love that they are hiding God's Word in their hearts through songs and music at such a young age.... Great job, guys!

Pretty Eve

Well, we survived the third and final "festival" at the kids' school! :) Beth had her Pre-K Festival at the end of April called "All Things Bright and Beautiful". It was a precious presentation about Creation and all that the Lord has made. Beth was Eve and was oh so cute! Here are some pics from the occasion...

Notice the even bigger gap since my last blog? Yep, she's missing both front teeth now!

Adam and Eve. Too cute!

Here is Day 1, 2, and half of Day 3 (the Sun)...

Rest of Day 3 (Moon and Stars), Day 4, 5, and 6.

All 6 days of Creation together....resting on Day 7. :)

Granny Boo came to cheer Eve on!

And so did Gran....

Beth and her teacher, Mrs. McGinnis. What a privilege to have a teacher that loves my kiddo so much....and a privilege to be at a school like this one. We are blessed!

Love in the Hood

One of my friends and fellow volunteers down at Cornerstone's Women's Ministry, Jennifer, got married in April! She invited all the ladies from the hood...so we made a day of it and got them all primped and ready. We had them come to the White House where they were able to pick wedding clothes and shoes from nicer donations we'd received over the past few months...and had been setting aside for this occasion! Once dressed, they were able to get their nails, hair, and make-up done if they wanted. Then we had a professional photographer, my friend Sandra Edwards, come and take individual pictures of each lady! (They loved this!) Finally, we had lunch brought in so they'd have full bellies before the wedding. :) Then we headed out in about 5 different vehicles transporting them all to the festivities! For some of them, it was the first wedding they'd ever been to. There were ladies asking, "What do you do at a wedding?", while others just giggled over how pretty they all looked! We had a grand time and loved celebrating Jennifer and Scott's covenant. It was a privilege to stand shoulder to shoulder at this wedding with these women that I've so grown to love over the past few years. My sister-in-law Natalie, and niece Caroline, came with me that morning to help out. Here is Caroline fixing Rosemary's hair. Natalie was on nail-duty and gave several of the women a pretty coat of polish!

Jennifer and Scott. We wish you the best years of your lives ahead. May God use you both more mightily together as a couple than he ever did in your journeys leading up to this day...Love you guys!
