Akeman Benefit

In November our family attended the first annual Avery Akeman Benefit. This was to raise money for some sweet friends of ours, Paul & Angie Akeman, and their precious daughter Avery. We met Paul & Angie years ago in our Sunday School class at church and walked with them through their battle with infertility. Finally the Lord blessed them with this much awaited child, Avery! Avery was born with many medical problems though and has spent more time in the hospital than out. She is precious little girl who blesses everyone she comes into contact with...and has been used by God in countless ways to strengthen many peoples faith and even to lead others to Christ. This benefit was birthed by so many peoples' desires to help with the endless medical bills that this family continues to face. Boo and Chris have kept up with the Akemans over the years on their Caring Bridge site....and said countless prayers for this family. They had never met the Akemans, so they came to the benefit to meet them and give their support to such an amazing family! Please pray that God will continue to strengthen and uphold Avery and her parents. I know God has amazing things in store for them.
