Lovin the land...

We are so enjoying our land for frequent get-aways.  We were able to take my aunt and uncle out there a few weeks ago to show them around.  They have a place in Louisiana that we love going...and are hoping to model our place after.  I love all the sounds out in the country....if you just stop walking and talking and get really still....you can hear all sorts of things.  Critters chirping, leaves rustling, wind blowing, birds singing....ahhh.  It is so peaceful.  And oh the stars at night!  The whole night sky just lights up with stars speckled all over the place.  Amazing what happens when you take electricity and noise out of the picture.  You're left with peace.

If you know me very well, you know that sunsets are one of my favorite things....especially with these two cuties.

I can't sign off without showing you our BIG fish pics.  We discovered that one of our ponds is loaded with big, ol' bass.  And we have had so much fun catching them!

Logan has become quite the fisherman.  He can set the hook, reel 'em in, and even lip the fish and take it off himself.  Pretty impressive for an 8 year old.  (Well, almost 9.) :)  Then we toss 'em back in for another day.  Lots of fun to be had.  Thank you for blessing us with this land, Lord.  We know it all belongs to you anyway....
